These are most of the frequently asked questions that have come my way since I got into this business. If there is something that you are curious about and it is not listed, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me!

Q ? What does hosting mean?

A ! Hosting refers to the storage on the internet where your files are placed. I set up each domain with it's own space and ample storage so your site will load quickly. As a bonus, I include a free posting of your website placed in my portfolio and maintain a backup drive for your entire website.

Q ? Where are you located?

A ! I operate a full time home office in Trochu, Alberta. My office is equipped with high speed wireless internet. If you require an in-person consulation call me (Cindy) at 403-442-3189.

Q ? Do you design Flash Sites?

A ! Yes I do flash coding, but I don't recommend that a website be done entirely in flash. The biggest reason is: flash coding is not recognized by search engines; the other reason is, flash coding is slower to load. Have you ever been to a website and left because it did not load fast enough? I know I have!

Q ? What can you do for my site to be listed on the search engines (Google)?

A ! A good list of descriptive key words related to your business as well as a descriptive statement is coded into your webpages when I design them. These are called meta tags and this is what search engines use to categorize your site.

Q ? How long does it take you to set up a website?

A ! There are several factors related to this question: how many pages the website consists of, the amount of content, whether there is an existing website, and if you have a good idea of what you want. However, the most important factor I have found time and again is regular communication between me and the client, especially during the website set up.

Q ? Do you have samples of your work?

A ! My portfolio has many designs to view and references are available on request.

Q ? Who owns the websites you create?

A ! The customer does.
When I purchase your domain, your personal or company name, is listed as the registered owner. Your logo or other elements you supply, also belong to you. The website "as a whole" is considered my design, but once I am paid in full you retain ownership. If you decide to take over the website maintenance, I ask that you leave my ad on your website to show that I created the design layout.
